As a Chartered Accountant with almost a decade of experience advising Australian businesses, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside entrepreneurs, families, and business owners at every stage of their journey. From ambitious start-ups taking their first steps to established family groups planning for the next generation, I’ve seen that every successful business shares one thing in common: the right advice at the right time can change everything.
Early in my career, I was fortunate to be mentored by John Scott, founder of Fraser Scott & Co. John didn’t just teach me how to prepare financial statements or lodge tax returns. He taught me what it truly means to be an adviser. To ask questions before giving answers. To understand the person behind the business. To look beyond today’s numbers and focus on where a business wants to be tomorrow.
His background in economics, finance, and mergers and acquisitions shaped the way I approach every client relationship. Rather than simply reporting on the past, I believe financial information should be used to guide better decisions, identify opportunities, and create a clear path for sustainable growth.
That philosophy has become the foundation of the way I work today.
I believe accounting should feel personal. It should be about building relationships, simplifying complexity, and giving business owners the confidence to make informed decisions. Outside of work, I’m a proud husband and father who believes family always comes first. I enjoy travelling, discovering great food, and spending time on the Jiu-Jitsu mats.
I’m also passionate about making accounting approachable. Too often our profession hides behind technical language and complicated advice. I believe it doesn’t have to be that way. My goal is to explain complex financial concepts in plain English, giving business owners practical advice they can understand, apply, and benefit from.
Because at the end of the day, accounting isn’t just about tax returns or compliance. It’s about helping people build better businesses, create financial freedom, and enjoy the life they’ve worked so hard to achieve.

Meet Our Founder, John.
Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, our founder developed an early appreciation for business long before it became a career. Some of life’s earliest memories were spent watching a family business take shape, listening to important conversations around the dinner table, and seeing firsthand the courage, sacrifice, and determination it takes to build something from the ground up. That experience sparked a lifelong passion, not only for business, but for the people behind it.
Driven by a desire to make a meaningful contribution, our founder pursued studies in economics and accounting before building a career in banking and mergers and acquisitions. Working alongside businesses of all sizes provided invaluable insight into what separates thriving businesses from those that simply survive. It also revealed a recurring problem. Traditional accounting was largely focused on reporting what had already happened, leaving business owners with information that was often too late to influence the decisions that mattered most.
That realisation became the foundation of our firm.
We believe accounting should be far more than a compliance exercise or a once-a-year obligation. It should provide clarity, confidence, and direction. Business owners deserve a trusted adviser who helps them understand their numbers, uncover opportunities, navigate challenges, and make informed decisions before those decisions become costly.
